The movie follows three high-school friends — Ben, Carter, and Augie — who are members of a Scout troop. On what is supposed to be their final night together, a sudden zombie outbreak takes over their town. Using their scouting skills, teamwork, and a lot of dumb luck, they try to survive the apocalypse, rescue people, and grow up in the process. They are joined by Denise, a tough and fearless waitress who helps them fight the zombies.
